SPOUSES TOUR - POTSDAM & SANSSOUCI PALACE BUS TRIP
A bus tour along the beautiful castles and parks in Potsdam including visiting the Sanssouci Palace. See the beautiful parks, castles and lakes of Potsdam where you will experience why Frederick the Great preferred Potsdam to Berlin as his residential city, why Sanssouci Palace is called the “German Versailles” and where the Allied powers decided on Germany’s status after the end of World War II.
The beautiful palaces of the park Sanssouci are protected as UNESCO World Cultural Heritage as they show the grandeur and ambition of Prussian royals in the 18th and 19th centuries. Cecilienhof Palace was the location of the Potsdam Conference in 1945 that decided on Germany’s future. Potsdam’s old town features a Dutch quarter, a Russian village, a rebuilt city castle and even another Brandenburg Gate! On the way to Potsdam and back to Berlin you will see the beautiful lakes and parks surrounding Potsdam – and you will cross the Glienicke Bridge where the USA and the Soviet Union used to exchange spies during the Cold War.
After the tour lunch will be in Berlin close to the Hilton Berlin.

OPTIONAL TOUR - TRABI BERLIN TOUR
Squeeze yourself behind the wheel of a Trabant and drive through Berlin in the official car of the GDR. See the most interesting sights as you putter around, and get a Trabant driver's license!
After a short introduction to the mysteries of the two-stroke engine and manual gearbox, your adventure can begin. Take a trundle back in time, in your much-loved vehicle, over the cobblestones of Berlin. After your second hair-raising corner, you'll have caught the Trabi-fever, and never want to get out again.
The tour will take you to where the Cold War was „hot“ and show you Berlin from a really unique perspective. Driving past historical places which have been and still are the focus of world politics, you will be guided through the formerly divided city of Berlin - a hands-on experience on both Berlin's exciting past and presence!
Though all good things must come to an end, you'll get your very own Trabant driver's license as a souvenir of this unique experience.
After the Trabi tour there will be a walking tour showing some of the interesting sights Berlin has to offer. The tour will end with lunch at The Käfer Roof Top Restaurant which is located at a very unique position: on the historical Reichstag building in the heart of Berlin.
